Are you sure you have an EDU trans and not a DSY?
Elijah used a DSY (euro edu) and had to cut the bellhousing to
clear a sensor on the back of the engine.

In my EDU install all we had to do was omit the one alignment
dowel and it bolted right in. There have been several succesful swaps
of the EDU trans into UrS4's, I find it hard to believe your
tech is going to have to cut your bellhousing.
