Thanks, Bill.  I'll check for leaks.  

I got a new code last night after driving some, and it seemed the light would come on at idle more than anything.  The code is 2341, and there are lots of potential causes for that one, but one of the causes is an intake leak...

  Sorry I could be late to pick up on this thread but will throw in my .02.

  This stumbling and running rich sounds a lot like a boost leak to me.

  Check once again all the intake hoses.  Pay particular attention to the bends and seams where leaks can be very stealth...

  Particularly in the Michelin man hose off the cross over pipe.

  Search the archives as there are relatively easy ways to pressure test the system.

  Boost leaks (i.e. less air) will cause a rich mixture and poor mileage. 

  They can also cause a condition where the car will “sort of run” if you feather the accelerator but die if you give it too much too quickly.
