[s-cars] SS brake line conversion

I did the Big Red conversion on my 96 S6 this weekend with my bro-in-law
('89 325is owner). I used the SS lines from Stoptech. My bro-in-law
commented how it would have gone easier if one end was a swivel fitting like
he has on his BMW. We ran the rear lines and kept them mostly straight but
when we installed the caliper, the rear lines have a slight "s" to them and
was wondering is that typical of SS lines ( the inflexibility part) or
should I be thinking about another kit possibly? Best one to go with?

I don't remember it being such a pain back when I had SS lines on my old '85
GTI. But they were non DOT approved without the vinyl coating.
