[s-cars] Viscous fan clutch failure?

Yeah I really should have qualified that a bit more.
When I ripped mine out it was frozen solid.
Any high rpm acceleration sounded like crap, could not even hear the turbo 
over all that air.

Anyways I think I picked up 40 ish HP with it's removal.. and lost some 
weight over the front axle.
So far (last 2 years) I have not even worried about that fan, but it does 
heat up in stop and go with the a/c on.
The secondary fan does pull in and cool things down, but I hate having it go 
that far.
