[s-cars] C4 front strut differences

Well, I'm not sure why the P/Ns are different, but when I bent the brake
carrier mouting tab on my original RF strut, I took a chance and grabbed
one off a 100 at the junkyard. All dimensions between the two are
identical. There is a VERY slight casting difference in the plate
around the hub, but it doesn't affect function at all. I've been
running with that strut for a while now.

Mike,
I am almost certain that they are not interchangeable. When I pulled the
bearings out in my S6 I had to use a 3/4" breaker bar over a 1-3/8"
socket and I had to lean onto it with all my weight to get the puller
remove those massive beefy bearings. My gut tells me that the A6 would
have a lighter duty arrangement.
And yes, IME different suffixes always signify non-interchangeable
parts. The only exception is the suffix "x" in the end that is added to
a rebuilt part.
