[s-cars] S6 Radio/CD question

Greg;

The S6 radio antennas are in the front and rear windows. I think there is an
antenna booster under one of the rear quarter trim panels and I seem to
recall a post saying loose connections at the booster caused reception
problems. One of the Audi radio systems switched from front to rear antenna
depending on which had the stronger signal, but I can't recall if it is the
UrS6 system. I'll have to dig into the antenna setup on my '97 S6; the front
windshield has been replaced with one with no antenna and the radio
reception is not as good as it was with the mast in my '94.

The fix for the squeaky blower motor is to replace the blower motor.

Subject: [s-cars] S6 Radio/CD question

Hi All,

I bought a 1995 S6 and I can't remember where the
radio antenna(s) are. My S4 has a mast, but the S6
doesn't.

The strange thing that is happening is that the radio
works fine in the morning when I leave for work. In
the afternoon, the radio doesn't work at all, just
background static. Then on the way home after work,
it usually works.

The car is parked in the sun and I'm thinking it is an
antenna connection problem that has something to do
with temperature. Sometimes when I drive over bumps,
the radio will come to life after a few crackles. Was
there an antenna in the front windshield? Maybe it
was replaced with a windshield without the antenna?

Also, like I've heard other S6's do, my HVAC fan is
starting to squeak and I can't remember what the fix
was.

Thanks!
