[s-cars] S6 Radio/CD question

My '97 S6 ( NZ Spec car) had the same problem. The unit is in the left
side rear quarterlight panel ( RHD car - probably same on LHD), and can
be removed carefully just by peeling back the cover. Unplug all cables
and use a small socket to remove 2 screws. Slightly cramped - but do-able.
Mine was full of dry solder joints and didn't take long to fix up.
Works heaps better once fixed ! My wife even listens to AM channels now !
The box also controls the heated rear screen from memory.
