Ben- the install on my '91cq is very similar. I ran
the power wire down the passenger side, just tucked
under the trim along the floor under the door. I
think I routed it under the rear seat by going under
the carpet behind the B-pillar. To reach the engine
bay I routed up along the front edge of the door
opening, then cut a small slit in the rubber bellows
to the passenger door. I would have to look to
remember exactly how I got the wire past/ under the
door gasket but I vaguely remember it being fairly
obvious. I think I picked up that tip on the 20V list.
I now have the battery in the trunk so the power amp
connects directly to the battery and the 00? gauge
main power lead now follows the above path. I just
mounted the amp to the floor of the trunk (back of a
rear seat is a bit cleaner) and the sub is held to the
floor with an "L" bracket I fabricated.
I can snap a couple pics tonight if you like.
