[s-cars] OEM fuel pump replacement - Siemens/VDO or?

Hey guys: My '93's got 140K on it and I want to retire the original pump
before it dies. I've STFA quite a bit but it's not conclusive.

My car's got a Stage 1+ (MTM/Pastore) chip. No chance of going past RS2,
and frankly it's only a slim chance that I'll upgrade from the 1+.

Tim Leclair (FAP99) lists Siemens/VDO for less than $120. Is that a good
choice?

I'd like to stay with an OEM size pump so I don't have to mess with the
basket.

I'd like it to be quiet, but if another pump is a better choice, I'll deal
with more noise (I took most of the quiet out of the car years ago).

I've seen posts about Pierburg being good, and quiet. But somebody said it
was taller, and created a fuel starvation problem because it say only a
millimeter off the bottom of the tank.

Thanks in advance!
Mike
