You forget about the serviceability issues of the S6 Avant- that car's
engine is really wedged in there- all you have to do is look at book rates
on a lot of repair jobs and you can see how the costs associated with labor
are really large.

It's even worse with the RS6.

The C5 chassis really should not have a V8 in there.

The Volvo's Haldex AWD system is definitely not as good as quattro in the
longitudinal engined cars. I've written in detail about how bad it can be,
esp. combined with an overly intrusive DSTC system. No rally-style fun in
this car. :-(
