What brake pads are you using?

Is it possible that the "rust" you're seeing is actually brake pad dust?

Hawk HPS are reddish brown when they dust.

I'm running Axxis Deluxe, which dust very little and still keep the rotors
clear. Initial bite and wet performance sucks, though.

I'm probably going to switch to Hawk HPS- still less dust than the stock
pads, better bite.

Anyone running Porterfield R4S?

How about Carbotech Bobcat?
