Steve,
My tightest clearance isn't in the direction that spacers would help. It is
in the radial direction, if you will. As the wheel goes around the inner
circle formed by the wheel is only about 0.1 inches from the corner of the
caliper.

ditto to what Taka said. you want some clearance in there or else...
I went with H&R spacers - 8 mm I think. easy solution.
