One would think. A spacer changes axial clearance. It's radial
clearance that's your problem.
You may want to check again though because the inside diameter on the
Avus wheels decreases towards the front. In other words, by adding a
spacer you push the wheel out and move to a larger diameter area of
the rim where the caliper fits.
That's what I found on mine. I'm running the stock rims (I bought the
car new) and am using 993TT calipers on RS2 brackets.
