[s-cars] In Quebec, water is free, snow is cheap

Hi,

Remember when I tried to organize a WOT (Winter audiOcy Tour) last year.
It’s even cheaper when you don’t organize it. I just received the first
dates for open lap on the snow track at Mecaglisse. Jan. 6 and Jan. 27 are
open to everybody, 135$ for the day, first come, first serve, max 21 cars
per day, in 3 groups by level. Put aside registration, briefing and lunch,
there’s 5.5 hours left for fun.

Even with the current $CAN-US Pesos exchange rate, I thought you may find
this interesting.

Mecaglisse is more or less 1h North of Montreal, and 30min. from
Mont-Tremblant so it may not be a bad idea to stuff Miss Piggy with siks.
And your best half and best quarters won’t have to freeze in the pits while
you have fun, there’s plenty of fun for them too in the area.

I will probably register for Jan. 6th since the snow banks are smaller in
the beginning of winter. Usually, Mecaglisse make sure to avoid ice walls on
the side of the track all winter long so there’s little chance of damaging
your car if you loose control.

If you’re interested, I will keep you posted when I’ll receive Feb and March
dates for open laps.

Vincent.
