In my case it was replacement of the regulator (motor) that solved this
problem.  It was random, it was stubborn.  When the window didn't want to go
up there was no making it so. Usually happened to me at the airport garage
after taking a ticket, and needing to get on the plane.

The dealer couldn't say exactly *why* but said in their experience motor
replacement cured the problem.  They have a theory that it has to do with
the circuitry related to the one-touch feature, that feint click, you hear
after the window seats at the top.  Only when you get the click will
one-touch work.  How this relates to reliable behavior I can't defend, all I
did was pay $300+ to replace it, and have never had the problem again.
