you need to restrict the vacuum port present and or increase the vent  
present.  Since you are roughly 30% more vacuum than a stock urq, try a  restrictor 
30% smaller in diameter.  I like the dowel idea to get the  diameter right, 
then make the right size one out of brass.  You don't have  a PCV problem yet, 
you have a PCV with too high a vacuum feed port.

I was contemplating a catch  reservoir with draincock at bottom - two fittings
at top - one to vent out  crankcase and valve cover and the other to small
filter and/or slight draw  from Intake using one way valve and restrictor.
This way any oil would be  collected and observed, but would retain some PVC
benefit - just not too  much.   Thinking...thinking..
