Hedz,

I need your thougths on diagnosing the cause of my current brake light
problem. First, a bit of history. About two years ago, I had a
similar condition that was diagnosed as a bad servo. The servo was
replaced with a new OEM part number. The problem was fixed.

Now, the brake light is staying on a long time again. First thing in
the morning when the car is cold, the light goes out after about 30
seconds. If I shut the car off before it is fully warmed up, the
light usually goes out between 15 and 30 seconds.

If the car is fully warmed and the weather is also hot, the light can
take up to a minute to go off. Yesterday, after taking a friend to
the airport, it stayed on all the way home. Outside temps were in the
90's and the drive was about 45 minutes long. I let the car sit all
night.

This AM, I got in the car and checked the brake pedal before starting
the car. Hard as a rock. I also checked the fluid levels which were
all fine. The goo-2000 level was at the upper limit.

I started the car and backed it out of the garage. The light went out
in 15 seconds.

I turned off the car and tested the bomb by pumping the brakes. I got
55 pumps before it stiffened.

I turned the engine back on and watched the light. It went off in 15
seconds again.

I turned the engine off and went around to see if the hydraulic fluid
level would change. I saw no apparent movent of the level (which was
now between the two level lines. Did some chores and saw no movement
over the next 40 minutes.

Any ideas?
