Subject: [s-cars] Off the Road...to sFest

There is a purpose to this little night ride believe it or not. We have
to
pick up Pauls 57 TR3 and bring it over to the fest. Only took me six
years
to get a ride in it. Hey I'm not pushy, but next year maybe I'll get a
chance at the wheel. I'm not kiddin' whenst I say chance either. The
apparently mandatory jump start is not so bad because as I settle into
the
seat and adjust the WWI ace goggles, I also notice that I can reach out
and
touch the ground. Since there are no seat belts this is a good point of
reference to have for when you are hopefully thrown clear on any
unfortunate
sudden stops. Stop, drop and roll would seem to apply.
Shall we say Paul quickly warms the TR up and we continue "touring" the
CT
countryside, ignoring that we're powered by "warm beer" electronics, a
gas
gauge that's unlit and are running with headlamps that only yellow up
the
road ahead. It don't matter as we have now entered der PaullyRing, aka
his
own private road course, aka a new housing development yet to have any
houses. Nice! A new road complete with nicely rolled curbs as rumble
strips to bounce off of. Hilarious!>>>

Nice recap, Baloney. Reading it, it's almost like I was there! Oh.
Wait.

Now hey the TR3 only needed der jump as I'd not driven it in like a
month and the charge was weak to get it to coldstart. And I do not
recall your asking to drive the turd - you know you're welcome to
anytime. All my responsible considerate normal ahem *friends* are <<<no
comment>>>. Like Vincent, he piped up and got a whirl. You, well,
suck.

Drop by tonight after work or something, "on the way home"??? "Allison,
I'll be a 'little late' tonight"? Yes, I do often have delusions of
grandeur whilst piloting it, the terrification sorta hides any of the
car's faux pas, always a good thing. Least you have the "Oh Shit
Handle" on the pass side, that'll save ya.

Nothing like a summer's night "tour", huh? Decisions decisions:

Now... this alleged "der PaullyRing" you speak of... I hear it's
located somewheres in like Paulland, yes? As seen here - allegedly:

Conjecture and hearsay it's all conjecture and hearsay.

Technically Bill there ARE um, TWO houses - one resided in one model.
Oh and another's being framed now finally. Only took 2+ years. I keep
aiming to bring the red / white rattlecans with me and me now 2 dozen
cones, but, maaaaaaybejustmabye that'd be a bit obvious? Indeed, the
broad "//////" striped and rumble-strip'd sections of the road leading
there in an effort to promote slower driving *DO* in fact make one feel,
as you say - "racy". Their fault. Ideally I'd purchase all 45 1-2 acre
plots there and have the world's longest driveway. Until then...

Again great write up Bill - has inspired me to get moving on mine.
Maybe. TR3 awaits, see you @ the BDL gate - let me know your ETA?
