Yep... if you really have trouble with the adhesive, muratic acid will soften things up.? Available at any home depot or the like.
However, I've always found them fairly easy.

Bob:
If these are the US version bodies/lenses, the lens clips have an adhesive
on them (as they were never intended to be replaced). I had a hard time
getting the clips off and actually chipped the old lens getting a clip off.
Just be careful. I don't know if there is anything that will ease the
cement off the clips. The gasket between the body and lens should not be a
problem; it simply needs to be compressed when the clip is engaged between
the housing and lens.
BTW I have a set of Euro lens from the PG Performance group buy that I would
like to find a home for. The Audi Fans marketplace page seems to be down so
I have been unable to list them.
BBTW, I just paid for the new 2004 S4 and got the title. To motor vehicles
tomorrow to register the car in NY and then pick it up in Connecticut.

Hi Y'all,
I'm _FINALLY_ ready to install the Euro lenses on my '95.5 urS6 HID'd
headlights. It looks like replacing the lenses should be pretty
straightforward except for the usual "gotchas". Looks like pull the
headlights, snap off the several spring clips and separate the lens from
the light body/reflector assembly and then reassemble w/ the new
lenses. It also looks like there is some sort of gasket (adhesive?) to
deal with. So what are the gotchas? Do I need anything special or unusual
for the job? Surely it can't be as simple as it looks at first glance.
Beuller?
Bob
