[s-cars] Anyone looking for a 6-speed? Can you replace a badsynchro?

In answer to the question... yes the syncro can be replaced.? The tough part seems to be finding a shop with a tech skilled in the rebuild of these types of gearboxes.? Those shops that I know of that do have the skill (typically Porsche shops due to the similarity) tend to charge lawyer rates for the work.

be a little careful buying off the internet. we've seen any number of these 
transmissions that had a problem shifting due to "yahoo" powershifts bending 
the shift forks. nothing worse than putting in a tranny only have to take it 
back out.
