I'll come out of list-lurk mode for long enough to say, "Congrats on the S4,
Michael." I still get a thrill driving my '04 after almost 3 1/2 years.
Steering and tranny feel are light years ahead of the UrS and the '04 grill
is, of course, pre-large-mouth-bass styling and all the better for it. Other
than the smaller size, lack of ultimate turbo tunability and gas mileage, I
don't miss the UrS for daily transport.
When I say gas MILEage on the B6 S4, I really mean gas YARDage. It really is
pitiful, but is the price of admission to the V8 roar. Of course the UrS
remains in the family -- in the hands of my step daughter and I retain right
of first refusal for any future plans to sell. Still a beautiful car at age
13.
Enjoy the neu toy!
