Proper alignment makes all the difference in "feel."

Take that S8 down to your preferred shop, preferably one that does race cars
often and knows how to setup a suspension, and have it aligned properly.

You probably want at least 1 deg. or more of negative camber, probably want
the toe setup loose so you can get the back end out.

I always felt that it was the opposite- the D2 and D3 cars feel much
lighter, esp. for their size, while the V-8 C5 cars feel very heavy. The RS6
feels like a tank driving down the road.

Maybe you should also check to see that the steering damper is functioning
properly- that makes a big difference too, as do suspension bushings.

The Miata went from decent to very good just by going from stock suspension
alignment to -1deg. all around, zero toe but all settings even all around,
no fudging. Turn-in feel increased exponentially and I can push the car a
lot harder with confidence. Now I can take my favorite offramp at 70 instead
of 60 (35mph indicated).
