Many moons ago the same thing happened in my urS6 and somebody much savvier
than I suggested taking the wheel off and putting it back on. I did and the
airbag light no longer came on. Don't have the foggiest why but it worked
so...

Regards,

Mark

Subject: [s-cars] Clock Spring info????

Ok folks.

Few weeks ago, let battery die (left lights on).
After jumping car off, AirBag light has been on.

Met with mechanic today. High Resistance issue via
VagCom.

Mechanic relayed that clock spring was likely issue.
Replacement part from Stealership is $505.00

I cannot afford that (or anything near that).

Car is 94 with original 4 spoke wheel.

Options?

Best regards,
Kevin
