[s-cars] Clock Spring info????

You can probably accomplish this without unbolting the wheel. Pull
the airbag (after
removing the power source) and check and clean the connectors. The
clock spring is
a durable device that rarely fails unless the unwitting (or is that
witless) attempts a repair
of said device with no formal guidance.

Mechanic?? says VAG-COM says?? Has he looked? Some don't like to
mess with
airbags, the cardinal sin is to blow the passenger bag while fiddling
with the wiring. :-)

In the event one is needed, just find one of those square wheels from
a similar year or
newer that has been protected from the elements. There are lots of
choices, the newer
the better IMHO. Should be some around from the rash of 3 spoke
installs on s-cars as
well as the salvage yard option.
