Hi Darin :

Just a heads up on what actually happened with the car from Vermont. I saw
the posting on Thursday morning,at 8:30 am, called a friend who was
interested and left an email, like everybody else, saying that he was
interested in purchasing the vehicle.At  approx. 9:00 am, Bob Sass said it
was sold, on the Audiworld site, where I usually hang out. At 10:30 am my
buddy receives a call from "Neil" saying that he had an offer, but the car
was still not sold. I and my 2 friends, hop in the car, drive 200 miles to
see it, were impressed and after the owner stated he had only received an
offer for $1500, no down payment was mentioned, my buddy asked, and I
quote,"what will you take for the car?", Neil said $1600.My friend opened
his wallet, gave a $100 deposit and left. We went to the border to discuss
entry of the vehicle with Customs, and Monday morning, returned with the
balance of money to get the title.

  No backstabbing, no dishonesty, no overpaying to get the deal.We had no
idea of knowing what the seller had said to anyone.We liked the car, made
the effort to go see it first, and closed the deal.End of story.

  Also, by buying the car, we saved one more of them being a parted out car,
that Chris Semple would surely have done.

  Hope this clears up some issues.
