I did same with a few WOT runs to get things warmed up and all was well. By
well I mean I passed emissions although I did not address the root cause of
high HC.

Before you go digging, try changing the oil. I failed on my 90q 20V and
after chnaging the oil, I ran it through again and the numbers dropped 3
fold.
