interesting - thanks for the tip.

I hate to buy a new tire and shave it down to "almost shot".  I guess I 
will expedite my wheel/tire package.

The only other option I see is to put a pair of matching used tires on 
the one axle.  May as well put that $ toward the ultimate goal.
