that's an E36, not E34.  E34 would be 5-series.  yes, E36 M3 sedans with stick
are very rare in the US.  however, an E46 330i with stick and sport package is
a pretty nice substitute - naturally, my wife had to go for the automatic
instead.  the shifting is fine, but it's not very smart about gear selection.
the biturbo S4 avant has a smarter transmission but slow shifting.  wish i
could combine the shift quality of the BMW with the shifting intelligence of
the audi.
