I would direct sales toward the dedicated BMW crowd, not the average
Joe.
A car in this condition and at that price will only attract serious prop
heads.
The BMW elite only want low mileage, perfect cars. The nice thing is
they
will pay for them.
A friend of mine has one (E36 5 spd sedan) and loves it. I loved my E36
M3 coupe fer sure. A very nice car indeed.
Dave
p.s. Paul, don't let Lorena drive it. I don't think your dealer buddy
would appreciate her handing the shift knob back to him after the test
drive.>>>
Yup, agreed Assholio (you love it). I'm not marketing it for him tho,
and he knows ^that's^ what it'll take. But I <<<know>>> some of those
with potentially sufficient nutancy reside here yes
<coughPOSTOcoughPOSTO> and dig hearing of these opp's. Def. chance of
few, and an "opp" is really what it is.
The thing's flippin' fantaculous. Another one of those "sit me down
inside and pull some vehicular bonghits" vehicles - ohmy sitting in the
cabin is like sitting at the end of Motorsport's Munich production line
Circa 1997 - ahhhhhhhhhhhhh nothing like that smell. A virtual museum
piece, nary a chip or blemish on it. OE flashlight never used (except
to install my 930 battery last night ha!), spare never touched, all
tools, keys, books, etc. Just a terrific machine. Grey Vader seats
(schaschwing), Motorsport wheels (lordy do I abhor them friggin'
5spokers too many seem to be plagued with), with brandy new PilotSport
Yrated's. Awesome.

I doooon't like white cars - too darn rental / refrigeratory - but I
*dig* white SPORTS cars. The convergence of the stark paint against the
contrasting black trim - it all just presents nicely together. Very
racy looking. We both agreed that, as ubercheesy as it would seem be
damned - slapping on some "Lightweight" checkerflags @ opposing F&R
corners would ROCK that car uh huh yeah. Maybe a vinyl set for use @
your fave events heh heh.
He considers it a keeper and in the top 10 handling cars he's had, but
as you can er see unfort. not much spare room for such shenanigans. I
love a good Time Capsule example - this represents the end of an era
(akin to C4 and D2) whereby they're still simple, basic, light, and
unencumbered with nanny intervention this and fart sensor gizmo that.
Waycool.
Tell your friends. Someone's getting a helluva toy. While it's allllll
the doughrayme, surf and see 70k cars needing "things" do low to mid
teens. I coined a new sales line last night: you don't need a test
drive - don't believe me? Analogize "miles" to years"... and go
tapdatazz of your 28yr-old girlfriend then go for a poke in the whiskers
with your 70yr-old neighbor. Any questions?
