Thanks for all the feedback today gents.

The other factors for me wanting to stay at 16" is I'm not ready to 
upgrade the brakes.  I'm not racing, not even at stop lights.  All it 
took was to be handed my lunch one day by a JC Witless-rashed WRX my 
first week of ownership to forget about my stock UrS being a contender - 
I'm squirreling away some more dough.  And then there's these damned 
Colorado potholes.  I thought the wire-wheeled MGB had taught me how to 
spot them, but they come at me faster in the Audi.  I'm afraid I'm gonna 
bust a 17 in short order.  So far my 16" Hocks shod with 50s have 
remained round and true.

How sturdy are the forged fat fives?  Assuming I can find some before 
Kase beats to them.  ;-)
