I "commuted" in it today if that helps make you feel any better - oh -
wait 8-). Was debating a long LRP lunch to watch PCA Club Race
qualifying heh heh.
$20k gets you into some rougher territory. Maybe some "OK" '76-'79s,
$30k seems to be the entry point for decent '86-'88s or really clean
'70s cars. Lot of nice cars FS out there tho, happy shopping.
Deep dish'd Fuchs, eh? Polished not authentic enough? Hmmm...
Here's my full spread of that '74 Paris Auto Show preproduction
prototype 930 - I'd hock LEFTY for this color / graphics / wheel combo
(not to mention the full RSR motor):

Wylie-
I think all of the cars in the NC guy's garage were at RRIII,
yes.
I meant that I did not notice a 968 turbo at RRIII, maybe I
missed it, there was so much visual overload there that it may have been
overlooked.
Daytona is a much nicer venue for vintage racing than Lime Rock-
those garages are so spacious, very nice for lining up 962s like they
were racing for real back in 1985.
After Paul's thread, I'm lusting big time for a 930 with a 934
front bumper and an RSR rear bumper, along with those Fuchs looking 18s,
I'd choose silver anodized deep dish lips rather than polished, though-
more authentic.
How much of a 930 can I buy for $20k? Sell the STi, get 930
(anyone want to do a 50/50 timeshare?). :-)
Oh, and I forgot the obligatory FU Paul!
Taka
