[s-cars] Factory POS alternatives?

I haven't looked at the parts in detail yet (waiting for my wife to 
return with the A4 tomorrow), but I notice that the POS used in the 
earlier B5 A4 models is similar to the POS used in our AAN engined cars.

Anyone know if they are compatible?  Here are the part numbers:

S4/S6: 4A0 905 351 A

A4:    4D0 905 351 (original p/n)
        8D0 905 351 (dealer recommended alternate p/n for A4)
