[s-cars] Factory POS alternatives?

Dave:  You might want to check this out:

http://forums.audiworld.com/s4s6/msgs/149771.phtml

The UrS uses two, 3 channel 4A0 905 351A black Bosch POS units
The 2.8L 12V V6s use one brown Hitachi three channel 4A0 905 351 (no "A", brown) POS unit
(wasted spark system,  two plugs fire at once)
The A4 1.8t use one four channel POS, 4D0 905 351
The V8s use two four channel POSs, 8D0 905 351

So technically the four channel 4D0 and 8D0 POSs wouldn't work.  However, IF you were desparate,
you could adapt one to your uses.  However, if you were in that situation,  I think you would be better
to use the brown Hitachi 4A0 905 351.  These can be had in wreckers for cheap. (But only as a spare,
 IMO).
