[s-cars] clutch replacement

Tom
I'm picking up the clutch today here in Denver and will start assembling
today. I will go with the stock LUK and stock flywheel. The problem with
the clutch was oil leakage from the trany onto the disc. The car has 91K
and the clutch looked like it was less than 1/2 gone. I heard others say
that the trany seal caused the slippage.
Thanks for the torque specs - that will be very helpful. The bolts for the
flywheel required a 6 point socket and big breaker bar to get it loose. I
can't imagine why they just don't give a final torque number instead of the
1/2 turn after a torque number. Yes I noticed the offset of bolt holes, so
looks like the dual mass flywheel is tuned to a specific crank angle.
I'll have some pictures when done and will add them to the write-up by Chad
Tobin.
The trany seal was a little difficult to remove. The engine seal was
easier, but had to drive a pry bar into it.
I'll let you know when it's done.
Jerry
