Taka:

I have to echo Wylie comments on the C6.

Thanks for starting the most exciting thread in a long time! You have a
choice.

1- get down to Corvette's at Carlisle, which collides with S Fest.

Or
2- come to S Fest to meet more Porsche guys.

Drove a MN6 NPP C6 coupe was duly impressed.
Discovered www.corvettforum.com and find some unreal deals.
Especially now with economy in tough shape, can find first owner
examples factory warranty and all.
I would buy one of these.

Then I drove a Z06.
Man, whatta rocket!. what a sound and torque that is thrilling beyond
description.
It's as good as the car shows and mags say it is and kicks ass on a
lotta hardware 2X price, including P cars.
I'm talking unmodified Z06 too. Yeah, that's out of budget, now.. but
next step maybe.

that forum above has all kinds of mods and knowledge on what to avoid,
what factory updates are must haves.

lots of people complain about interior quality and GM build issues, but
the people
down at Bowling Greens KY take care and pride in what they build. I
think the C6 Vette is a special case.
 owner wrenching is possible.

I recorded this Discovery HD episode on the Z06 technology, will send it
to you. Highlights the entire build process.
Performance items like dry sump, tranmission in 'rear' to balance
weight, aluminum frame for light weight
BBK etc.

Taka,

I'd look for a certified Porsche Boxster S and I'd negotiate an
extension of

the certified warranty for a few more years.
