The seat belts will work, but you won't have the ProConTen tensioning system
that came with the UrS4 unless you modify a bracket for the transmission.
ProConTen is a cable system that tensions the seat belts to remove slack as
the transmission moves to the rear in a major frontal impact. On some
ProConTen cars the cable also pulled the steering wheel forward into the
dash. The EDU tranny doesn't have all the bosses required to mount the
ProConTen bracket.

With the UrS6, Audi replaced the ProConTen tensioning system with explosive
seat belt reels triggered along with the airbags on impact.

I'm interested in the swap too.  So our early urs4 cars' seatbelts will work
without being hooked up top the new tranny?  Is the first gear in the six
speed any beefier than the early urs4?  Thanks!

It's a nice upgrade.

the pro con tensioner for the seat belts isn't used unless you
add some sort of bracket.

Otherwise eliminate one alignment pin and it's a bolt in.

I'd replace the trans mount and install a new clutch (disc, pp,
cylinders, etc.)
