We just purchased an 08 Wolfsburg Edition Jetta. Wolfsburg means 2.0T  engine 
and nice 17" wheels. After driving it with the manual and the  DSG tranny I 
opted for the DSG equipped version. If there is such a thing as a  sweet 
automatic tranny [or as Jeremy Clarkson says, "a manual transmission that  shifts 
automatically"] this is it. When driven at an easy pace I sometimes  look at the 
tach to see if it shifts, nearly seamless it is. When driven hard it  shifts 
smoothly and is instantly in the next gear. Sport mode is redline shifts  and 
plain old fun.
