Let's see where to start,
I left Kalamazoo as rain was falling at 4 am, destination Holy Toledo.
Arrived in Toledo at 6 am to meet up with Keith, who promply overslept
and didn't get there until some time after 6:30, I think it was a plan
as Mahoney also was running behind which somehow made us "right on
time"
as we met up at da Waffle House!
The road trip to Coventry, CT proceeded uneventfully until we were
oh so close and as such the infamous east coast "hey let's use the
highway as a parking lot" gang got in our way. All was well though
as we did arrive safely, (I didn't ding Bill's avant)
Familiar faces were seen and cold liquids were enjoyed, at this point
my memory somehow gets blurry, but I recall:
Great food
Cold Beverages
S6 avant plus
Holy Porsche batman!
Bazillion horsepower salute! Holy Smoke Screen!
Winning the Kryptonite Lock n chain
Trading the Kryptonite lock n chain for the 034 donated Samco coolant
hose kit :-) - I think he is going to wear it as a bling bling
necklance!
Mark Swanson's VEMS tech session - me thinks this guy knows his shit!
Mr. Mark Swanson's infamous V8TT coupe! See above about his knowledge!
Helping set up tents in tent city - And tell me, just how do you fall
out of a tent while laying down?
"Movie time" with Keith providing some great auto racing on the big
screen!
A neighborhood child insisting we "smoke the tires", Hey Paulie is this
your kid...maybe?
Riding in Mike Platt's lotus as it slowly and gently went through some
tight turns, not once exceeding the posted speed limit! :-) NOT!
Meeting many people I've "talked with" via email, feeling surprised
they "knew" me!
Meeting people that somehow knew me while I didn't recall their name,
only to be informed they "lurk" on the list, boards.
And now my mind starts to blur..
I must say that I am truely impressed with the sincere kindness that
is continually shown by all that attend S-Fest!
Somehow Bill and I managed to leave CT behind before the rains hit, but
we did find it for a brief period of time in Ohio before driving back
into warm sunshine and got back to Kalamazoo just after 10:00 PM, wow
where did the weekend go?
Many thanks to Bill Mahoney for having me as his co-pilot!
Thanks to one and all and happy S-festivus!
Chris
