[s-cars] Driveshaft R&R writeup

There is a long nose grease fitting called a needle fitting(but it is
a mighty big needle) available at the FLAPS. I have used it to slip
under rubber covers of ball joints after removing the wire clamp and
for u-joints that don't have the zerk, but it isn't great there. It
will grease those Japanese fittings that just have the ball flush with
the surface. I suppose that is what it is really made for. The
center bearing is sealed, but you wouldn't get much in there anyway.
The only grease job mine has received is the front c/v joint where I
am sure the exhaust heat is worst and really cooks the joint. Taking
the front joint down to clean out the old hard grease seemed like the
thing to do, so it was not a problem to get grease in that joint.

That said, the long pointy fitting does help put some grease in tight
places with minimal mess, and can be better than disassembling
something like the center u-joint, because you might not get it back
together. :-) You could probably do a good job if you were
replacing the center bearing.
