Yeah... one detail that really caught my eye was the buildup on the mechanical fuel pump... drivers side front of the engine.? That just wouldn't get that way in 1100 miles.
True, it is quite a find... but I too think there's more to the story.

100% with you - I think there's some fishy stuff. Not that it's not 90%
super sweet, but, there's some BS going on, perhaps with the mileage. Engine
looks way more driven than 1k miles, likewise carpet and pedals. Not like
70k but a shizload more than 1.5k. I'm sure pulling the speedo cable (or
running it backwards with a drill) is easy on one of these old geezers.
Obviously 'Norman' was an idiot for having parked the thing for over 30
years so who knows what other moronic logic he might have used. Likewise the
"1970 air in the tires" claim. 1970 tire/wheel technology. They'd be flat.
End of story. Car got a new battery at some point, likewise Norman pumped
the tires up periodically. Even if he says otherwise.
And by the way anybody who gets wood for "original oil in the engine and air
in the tires" is a friggin' moron. The guys on that board are all obviously
so wet for this car they are ready with excuses and rationalizations for
anything odd "gee that must have been some crazy thing that happened at the
factory!" If they found bondo in a Fender and a bent framerail within
minutes they'd have a story of how it must have fallen off the truck when it
was being loaded to the dealership and it was a special factory repair job.
Still a cool sweet "barn queen" though and I'm sure it's mostly legit...
just don't think it's exactly what it claims to be.
