[s-cars] Road trip from Michigan to Colorado, any good sites to see?

Chris,

If you are able to swing a little south and hit Kansas City on or 
before 1/1/09 you absolutely MUST see the Country Club Plaza after 
dark.  The Christmas lights are fantastic.  All of the Spanish style 
buildings are outlined in lights and your 2 1/2 year old will love 
it.  So will you and your better half.

The Plaza district is a must see.  It is a large (many square blocks) 
shopping center and was the first such shopping center in the 
country.  It is quite a sight to see.  Pretty good shopping, too.  ;-)
