[s-cars] Help... NAC Battery location in '94 540i

Dave, its underneath the rear bench seat on the right side ( right if one were sitting in the car).
 
You need to jump it from the positive port in the engine bay though. Its on the drivers side near the firewall. There's a 2x2 inch plastic cover w/ a + sign on it. Ground to any bolt.
 
This limits the risk of frying the dash lights or worse,the ecu.

Howdy,
My father recently passed on... and took care of the family cars.? My mom is
now stuck with a dead battery in their e34 540i.? Trying to talk her through
hooking up a battery charger over the phone went poorly... as it doesn't
seem to be located in any place obvious to her.

I'm betting it is in the trunk, simply because of how tight I recall the
engine compartment was.? However, I'm also thinking there is probably a
charging post somewhere in the engine compartment.

Any enlightenment would be appreciated.
