[s-cars] Non-start non-progress non-happy

All,
So last time I wrote I was having stalling and non starting issues that
was (for 5 days) fixed by a new crank position sensor (engine speed
sensor?)
Then the car bucked and stalled on the night of the 5th day and I took
her back to the stealer. I recently came back into town and went to
pick up the ride since they said it was now running after fixing a
corroded relay I had installed to send 12v from the batter straight to
the fuel pump (using the wiring harness line to the fuel pump as a
signal wire for the relay). Aside from the water that seems to have
corroded the relay I was happy.....
Until the car died in their parking lot...sweet.
It got me thinking again:
I originally thought this issue had something to do with my 1.8t 034
coilpack kit..but they say they can pull a whole coil out while the car
is running and it won't stall but run rough as balls..so that's out.
Then I remembered how I used to fixed a stalled car in the past. Get
out, pop the hood and reseat the coils. Shut the hood and she would
start right up.
Now, isn't the hood tied into the alarm system? And isn't there a fuel
cutoff involved with the alarm? It made me wonder if I was resetting the
alarm system somehow and the fuel would flow again. Also even though
I've bypassed the original fuel pump wiring, I'm still using the
original 12v line for the fuel pump as the signal wire so if it were
being affected by a fuel cutoff, so would my bypass relay.
To make it all awesome, since I left the s4 this morning its been
starting fine for the technicians.
I'm really reaching but are running out of ideas. Anyone have any
thoughts??
