[s-cars] ignition switch

I just completed my annual trip to Key West in the S6 avant.  The car  
performed flawlessly, logging 23.5 to 24 mpg for the approximately  
2400 mile round trip,
except for an intermittent no start problem in Key West.  A quick  
change of the ignition electrical switch solved the problem.  I have  
had the remain in the start
position failure on the sedan, but this is the first time I have seen  
this failure mode.  The switch was replaced under recall about four  
years ago, so it was a
genuine Audi part, just missing the set screw sealant.  I replaced  
with a genuine part flown in from World Impex.  I am getting pretty  
quick at making the change
with experience on two previous changes, and had removed this switch  
to check it before the replacement, but could not see any defect, but  
decided the symptoms
were pointing directly at a switch failure.  The intermittent problem  
only lasted for 4 or 5 starts before it would not operate the  
starter.   All other functions of the switch
were normal.
