Thanks for the advice guys.  As my nephew now drives this car and he is
footing the bill while going to college and working at Quiznos we'll
probably go with the HIR bulb thing.

The HIRs were a huge improvement on the high beam but fell short IMO on the
lows.  Although this may seem as deliberate downtalk to be self serving it
is not.  That said, I have brand new never installed McCulloh HID kit from a
GB of yesteryear.  If you have any interest hit me off list Calvin.  Paid
IIRC $225.  Nothing reasonable refused as I have no need for 'em.

P.S.  Some folks as I recall did install the high beam HIR (9012) into the
low beam (9011) with little/no complaints from oncoming traffic.

Anybody have a source for OSRAM silverstars (NOT Sylvania) for our cars?
Has anybody compared these to HIRs?  I am not interested in the
multi-hundred dollar light upgrades, just a little improvement as my stock
bulb went out.  Thanks!
