My '02 S8 computer has a problem when the speed reaches 155. I need to

TIM!  Few things...

1) GREAT to see you're still around.  I'd been sorta wundrin' what
happened to you.  Good to hear from you.  Missed you @ the last
//SFest...  whattaya live in like MICHIGAN or something???  Hop / skip /
jump 8-)

B) You gots an '02 //S8!?!?!?  Who knew!  Nice!  Kudos.  Color?  What I
really dig is how so many of the "gamers" here (come clean, Studebaker)
ended up in these things (Alumibitch).  Good fer you!

III)  155...  gee, how'd ya find that ahem "problem"???  HA!  Nutball!
//S8s are friggin governed at friggin 155 - which for me is likely a
good thing otherwise I'd be off ahem 'exploring' all too often.  The
only way I've heard of removing said limiter is to buy the MTM chip
which also alleges to give like 15hp IIRC(???).  Nope, no simple C4
"remedy" and pulling the red shorted plug, uh uh, it's in the ECU
programming.  The chip's hugely pricey though, like $1100 beans, again,
IIRC(???!!!???).  No one I know in my circles of //S8dom has bothered.

Four)  Tim, you should hop on over to (gasp) Audi World and join the
handful of us here that have these that pollute / corrupt the D2 board
there.  It's a great forum of mostly mature professional dudes (very
un-C4 forum there) and a great resource of valuable info for these
things.

Anywhoze...  HTH, er sumptin'.

ps.  der 930 owner's manual suggests top speed is 158 (gotta love a
manual which notes such), which I found oddly low but figured it was
"limited" by the 4spd.  Speedo reads to 170.  I buried it and there was
still like 1500+ to go on der tach.  Er um uhhhhhh...  allegedly,
mutters Schultz...
