To add...
You really only have to do one surface per direction, as the opposite
surface can be allowed to reflect sound but I'm sure you already know that.
Also, once stuff gets in there the reflective surfaces will be altered and
not create as many sound reflections.
Consider a storage area opposite your biggest single reflective area.
The old infamous egg crates work great, not very handsome, but very
functional.
