[s-cars] X-plug and o-ring

Don't jump to conclusions about the noisy pump if it is performing
ok. The x-plug and o-ring are a kit made for the 200 pump. See Forgie's
FAQ. The biggest issue is the fluid destroying all the rubber parts
if left
to leak along with the cost of fluid and mess. A fluid change and
filter
and reservoir clean-up may help with the noise. It may be cavitating
from lack of fluid supply.
That's a big leap from the serpentine belt to the timing belt even if
you
are replacing the pump.
The SJM troubleshooting pages also cover the 200/20v. The S4/S6
connectors are under hood. You actually only need to repair one of
the possible malfunctioning items, but you'll probably get through most
of the list before you determine which one. :-) The connections to the
electronic items should be considered as well since they can cause the
same code as the item itself.
