I highly recommend using cheap rubber gloves.  I buy the 50 pack  of latex 
gloves at Walgreens.  When on sale they are 3 packs for  $10.  An oil change 
uses 2 gloves, a timing belt change about 10.
 
Mark near Chicago with grease-free fingernails for the last 15  years
