Sgt Noel,
Assuming you haven't bought the sensor already (maybe you have, and I've missed it) whichever route you choose, an O2 sensor wrench (available on loan or to buy at most FLAPS) makes this job a snap. I did mine in less than 30m. I bought a (correct) new one from a lister for ~$50 off the audifans marktetplace so it was plug-and-play once the old one was out. There should be some already on the threads, but if you decide to add it, keep the anti-seize grease off the tip, and you should be good to go.
